Gavin Currie, Chief Operating Office
Gavin graduated with an Honours degree in Law from The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He later returned to his studies to pursue his passion of empowering people’s lives, gaining a Masters in Social Work from the prestigious University of Edinburgh. Upon graduating, Gavin harboured a specific interest in the field of addictions, spending several years within a multi-disciplinary addictions team of social work and medical professionals. He obtained a further qualification in Social Work Practice Learning and went on to teach and assess social work students in their various practice placements.
Within that period, he quickly discovered the system for treating addictions was in fact failing those it was meant to protect. This realization led him onto studying clinical hypnosis, training in London with renowned Harley Street therapist, Peter Salisbury, where he learned to use the power of the subconscious to influence addictive behaviours, positive choices and motivations for abstinence. From there, he became a master practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), whilst training personally with co-creators John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St. Clair in France, gaining valuable approaches to life coaching and behaviour change.
The real breakthrough for sustaining addiction recovery, however, came when Gavin began his training in Spain with Dr Grace Peyton of Quantum Change, learning about the energy matrix of the human body and the information it provides for self-regulation and healing. Thereafter, he trained with World Development Systems on advanced bio-resonance and quantum medicine, discovering that communication with the body’s consciousness itself (bio-feedback) was a key element to interpreting and correcting the imbalances within the body and mind. Within the functional medicine field, he travelled across Europe and the USA, learning from coveted physicians, such as Dr Roby Mitchell, MD, on the ‘intelligent design’ of the human body and the micro-nutrition required to accelerate healing and repair at a cellular level and from Dr Dietrich Kilnghardt, MD, on the ‘five levels of healing’ that the body requires for complete recovery.
Today, he combines the knowledge and experience gained from these talented individuals and diversified work environments in his evidence-based, practical approach towards addiction, trauma, brain health issues and recovery. Realising he had a shared philosophy with AGORA Regeneration Clinics Ltd, they formed a partnership, offering proven methods and unique protocols, unrivalled elsewhere in the world.
